Estimated Move Duration:
Any time estimates provided online or over the phone are approximate and based on prior moving experience. Each move is unique, and actual time may vary due to factors such as stair access, elevator availability, long walking distances, building restrictions, traffic conditions, weather, and item volume. Good Deeds Moving does not guarantee exact completion times.
Minimum Service Requirements:
All local moves are subject to a minimum booking period. Most moves carry a three-hour minimum. Due to higher demand and travel considerations, Saturday mornings and moves outside primary service areas may require a four-hour minimum.
Driving Time Charges:
In compliance with California regulations, Good Deeds Moving applies Double Driving Time between the pick-up and delivery locations. This billing method follows Item 36 of the Maximum Rate Tariff issued by the California Public Utilities Commission.
Accepted Forms of Payment:
We accept cash and major credit or debit cards. Personal checks are not accepted. Billing continues on an hourly basis until final payment is completed. A customer or authorized representative must remain onsite throughout the move and be present for the final walkthrough. For card payments, the cardholder must be present with a valid government-issued photo ID.
Appliance Handling:
Our movers can assist with basic disconnection and reconnection of standard household appliances. Plumbing connections, gas lines, and internal appliance components are not serviced. Good Deeds Moving is not responsible for internal malfunctions when no visible exterior damage is present. Final reconnection responsibility remains with the customer.
Packing Services & Materials:
Packing assistance is available upon request. Complimentary stretch wrap and tape are provided for furniture protection. Moving boxes, packing paper, and bubble wrap are available for purchase if needed.
Parking Arrangements:
Customers are responsible for ensuring legal and adequate parking at both the origin and destination locations. Any parking tickets, towing charges, or fines incurred due to insufficient parking arrangements will be the responsibility of the customer.
Property & Access Considerations:
Moving large or heavy items through tight hallways, stairwells, doorways, or confined spaces may increase the risk of damage to walls, flooring, railings, or the items themselves. If you instruct our crew to proceed under these conditions, Good Deeds Moving cannot be held liable for resulting damage.
Plant Transportation:
We are able to transport household plants; however, due to their delicate nature, we cannot guarantee their condition upon delivery. Oversized plants or those in heavy planters may require additional handling fees.
Additional Charges:
Certain services or items may incur additional fees, including specialty packing materials (excluding wrap and tape), piano moves, gun safes or heavy items, storage services, toll roads, extended carries, stairs, or challenging access conditions.
Wall-Mounted Items:
Our team can remove wall-mounted televisions, mirrors, and artwork. Reinstallation at the new location is not included. We recommend hiring a licensed handyman or professional installer for remounting services.
Flat-Screen Televisions:
When accessible, our crew may test flat-screen TVs before and after the move to verify functionality. Please ensure televisions are accessible and powered for inspection when requested.
